The Katy Perry-fronted Katy Kat Eye Mascara delivers fluttery, volumized lashes, but it’s not a total success. The issue? The combination of the helix-shaped brush and goopy formula can result in uneven distribution.
Let’s start with the positives: Beyond thickening lashes, you can expect Katy Kat Eye Mascara to add a decent amount of length. We also found the fragrance-free formula held up well throughout the day, resisting flaking and smudging.
In terms of removal, it’s not overly difficult to get off, but you’ll definitely want a makeup remover to help (pretty standard for most mascaras).
The problem is with the brush. The helix design allows the mascara to be more heavily saturated in some areas. Wiping off the excess mascara before you apply it can help; otherwise, expect some areas where the mascara globs more than others.
